After a futile attempt to get rid of the buggers, I contacted our landlord and they said they would have Terminex come out and spray. They're suppose to come tomorrow so hopefully after that we can live in peace without any critter disturbances. I attempted to destroy the ant mounds, it seemed to work pretty well. Please note the boots and long pants I'm wearing.... Yeah, it was like 100 degrees out. While I was out there being a murderer, within the first 5 minutes three planes flew overhead. I took pictures because the camera was out there, so why not. My parents came to visit during memorial day,... not a single
plane flew overhead while she was here. I'm pretty sure that's one of the only reasons she came, too. What a joy living so close to an air force base! It's actually pretty cool.Anyway, we have to go get the car registered, we're slackers. I hate going to places like the DMV. Especially since for some genius reason, all the components to a DMV are split up in to different buildings in totally different parts of town. When I got back, I had to go get a NC license and realized that everything was seperated. When you go get a license or a permit, you go to one place. If you want to register your vehicle, you go to a totally different side of town. If you need something with license plates? Another building. Ridiculous.
I'm really looking forward to the fall. I'm excited to fire up the fireplace again and cuddling under blankets sipping hot cocoa. We try to cuddle under blankets now, but it's too freaking hot! Harley
loves to cuddle under the covers. She doesn't care how hot it is. I'm also really excited for Christmas. I can't wait to break out the Christmas tree I bought on sale last year for $15 and put all the decorations/ornaments I got on sale last year on the tree. It was really pretty convenient that our first Christmas together, wasn't spent in our own home, because we didn't have to buy all brand new full price stuff. Instead, I got everything for 75%-90% off! I'm very excited for Christmas and everything that comes with it. Decorating the Christmas tree, buying gifts for people you love, wrapping, hanging our stockings on the fireplace. It's going to be great. It always makes me sad though thinking that this might be the last Christmas Kyle and I ever spend together. His job is going to give me some sort of stress-related medical problem, I swear. Thinking that way does help us to make the most of what we have, when we have it, so at least that is good.Alright, we'll post later. I'm going to go jump on the bed and wake Kyle up. He won't be able to resist.
