Godzirra, Chili and Christian the lion.

So, there was this HUGE bug in our bathroom this morning. I mean, like.... ENORMOUS. It was fucking Godzirra, no lie. I wanted to vomit. I was tinkling on the toilet when I spotted it running around like it fucking belonged there. I jumped up with my panties around my ankle and ran while screaming for Kyle to kill it while simultaneously gagging at the thought of this disgusting disturbance. ANYWAY- onto jollier topics before I spew all over the place.

I made chili last night, it was delicious.
Mmmm, tasty!

So, Kyle had to do night qualifications two nights this which which totally SUCKEDASS. I have a love/hate relationship with the military. As much as I love the history, and what it stands for, and the respect that I have for my husband and others who serve and have served, sometimes they just suck. For example, I hate it when Kyle gets stuck doing CQ.... but I understand that it's only fair that everyone has to pull CQ shifts... but what I really hate, and I mean, REALLY hate is when Kyle gets CQ on Saturday. See, normally, when you work a 24 hour CQ shift, you get the next day off of work.... but since he's the platoon RTO, they can't really afford for him to miss workdays, so instead, they put him on the Saturday shift so that the next day is Sunday, and they don't have to lose him when they need him. But in turn, he works an extra day, his sleeping schedule is totally shot for Sunday, so it's almost impossible to prepare for Monday, and oh yeah, they don't give him any sort of compensation. I brought him and the NCO he was on duty with Dunkin Donuts, and then later I brought dinner over and Ky and I ate in the conference room. We try to make the best out of any shitty situation.

Kyle and I are both still pretty sick. Leave it to us winners to get colds in July. Kyle's mom is getting married in like a week. We're not going. We got the invitation on my birthday, I mistook it for a birthday card at first.

I've decided that when Kyle deploys again, I'm just going to stay here in NC. There is really no reason for me to move back to NY. But I often wonder things like, .... what if someone broke into our house and killed me? No one would even know. (unless I ended up getting a job,... which I probably would if Kyle wasn't here.... but beside the point...) I'd be laying in this house rotting. No one would call. No one would check on me. No one would care. No one ever calls me. What would happen to me? What would happen to Harley? I wonder if she would start to eat me because there would be no one here to care for her, so she'd be hungry and desperate.

OH! Okay, so I saw on the news today this story about these two dudes and a lion.

Click this!

Go watch the video. It makes me so happy. Like, ridiculously. It makes me want a lion as a pet. Or a leopard, or something similar. Go watch it. Now.

That's all for now.
