Farrah Fawcett and a Baby Carriage

Alot has been going on lately, I just haven't felt like writing anything. I still don't. Somedays I just get so tired I don't feel like trying to conjure up any thoughts that make any sort of sense. Between washing dishes, cooking dinner, packing Ky's breakfast and lunch for work, mowing the lawn (you still don't quite understand. You really don't.), feeding the animals (all 7 of them), taking Harley outside, doing laundry, vacuuming, paying the bills, trying to get our car crap taken care of (got the inspection today, finally!), responding to emails regarding the stuff I'm selling on craigslist, keeping inventory of what food and supplies we have in the house and which ones we need to buy, and countless other errands, services and responsibilities I get pretty run down.
Kyle is sleeping right now. He has to go to work at 2am again for another 12 mile road march that will most likely turn into a 14 mile forest (with hills!) march while carrying 30lbs more than he should be carrying just like the road march last week. Kyle and I found a used book store and poked around for awhile. He got some more Chuck Palahniuk books and I got some books about dreams, palmistry and white witchcraft. I'm currently reading Sylvia Browne's book called "Book of Dreams". I like Sylvia Browne. (Dad+Mom- feel free to buy me some Sylvia books if you ever find any for a good price. Hint hit.) I got an old dictionary of dream meanings book also. I have it on one of our end tables just because it's awesome and looks cool. It's the kind of thing anyone can pick up and have fun poking through. It's funny too because since it's older all the writing is very eloquent-poetic.
Oh! the mutts that were running around outside finally got picked up by animal control! We finally called because it just got to be ridiculous. The neighbors they belonged to haven't even been home for like a month so I imagine that's why they were ripping open peoples garbage and trailing it through everyones yards.
And just so everyone is aware, when I have a baby I would like to have the baby carriage in this photo. Please be on the look out. Also, I need a haircut. My bangs have grown out and my hair is getting pretty long and mangy. Ideally, I would like to have hair like Farrah Fawcett (duh. Who DOESN'T want hair like her?!) I like the idea of a pixie cut but I don't trust anyone nearly enough to let them chop off all of my hair. Last year when I got my hair cut super short, it was awful. I seriously looked like a penis head. At least with long hair you can pull it back in a ponytail if it's hideous. Feel free to send me photos of hairstyles you think would look good on me. I'm open to suggestions. My eyes are starting to cross, I think I'll go for now. Maybe I'll update soon. Only if you're lucky.

Living among enchanted woodlands

Well, it's one heck of a foggy morning here in North Carolina! Sometimes when it's foggy and I'm driving around, I'll glance at a wooded area or catch some other site appeasing to myself and I can't help but think of some sort of magical enchanted woodland or something. Something fantastical. Maybe faeries and gnomes do exist. Perhaps there are larger creatures lurking, like those from the movie The Labyrinth. Or perhaps there are just ghosts. Spirits camouflaged by the fog and hanging vines. Or maybe there is nothing but fog and trees and all of the spiders and bugs and squirrels that live in the trees. But, it's fun to imagine! I took Kyle to work this morning, and when I got home I figured instead of going back to sleep, I'd make myself useful and put an end to procrastinating on mowing the backyard. I let the yard go for far too long. It's just been so hot and sticky and with Kyle's hours, we've both been on pretty wacky schedules. Last weekend I mowed the front yard and figured it was about time I got to the backyard before I need a flashlight and a machete to traverse through the weeds and grass to let Harley go potty. As I was mowing underneath one of the trees, I noticed a few leaves falling here and there from the tree and I don't think I could possibly express the happiness I felt. I absolutely love the fall and I'm extremely excited for it to come. Then I snapped back out of my daydream when I realized how much of the yard I had left to mow. I don't think those of you who have not seen our yard in person truly understand how big it is. It's definitely one hell of a chore to mow. Especially with a push mower. Oh well, I am blessed to live in a house with such a nice backyard, so I can't really complain.
I can although complain about our "closet". We put up two of the smaller bars and I noticed that when you put weight on it, the whole thing practically falls out of the wall. I'm totally irritated and trying to figure something else out. I'm pretty sure it's not working because our walls are so thin. It's not like normal sheetrock so I'm assuming that's why the brackets aren't really holding. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! I'm so bummed that what we had planned isn't going to work, so we need to come up with a new game plan.
On a more somber note, Grandpa Moore is not doing well. Kathy called us earlier last week and informed us that he has lymphoma and right now they are waiting on the biopsy. There is not a whole lot of information right now and we'll have to wait until test results come back to really know what his options are but please everyone keep him in your prayers!
I should be getting my title in the mail soon, the dealership was slow as possible in getting it to me. When we got the car, it had a temporary registration for 45 days.... yeah, it's past 45 days. But I can't register it here until I get the title. Thanks, Dodge. Oh well, as long as I don't get pulled over or anything it shouldn't be a big deal. Oh, also I want to mention that Kyle is in his window for his E-5! It seems like it was just yesterday that he got his E-4 but it will probably be another six months or so before he gets it. He says there is about 4 other guys before him and He is tied with another soldier for time in and stuff so it'll just depend on who they send to the board first. Kyle really deserves it, he does a ridiculous amount of work that he does not get compensated for and hey, who can resist more money? It'd definitely be nice! Apparently he has a jump tomorrow, he thinks it's a night jump so I won't be able to go and watch. It seems like everything happens at night these days, or during the wee hours of the morning, it doesn't seem like they do anything during normal work hours. But they still have to be at work during normal work hours,..... they just have to go there super early in the morning and stay until.... super early in the morning the next day...makes so much sense.
Kyle and I have been reading together. I'd been after him for awhile to read my favorite book Dmitri, and finally he did. Well, we both read it together. We'll read it out loud to one another.... I'll be in the bath and he'll sit on the toilet and read or I'll read while we lay on the couch. It's a nice alternative to watching the crap that's on tv. Kyle is usually the one to read, especially if we're reading at night. If I read at night, it's not a big surprise when my words are interrupted by Kyle snoring. We've moved on to a book of his choice: Fight club. I've seen the movie and I liked it so I'm sure I will like the book. Well, this post is pretty long so I shall bid you farewell for the time being.
