It's raining cats and ...kitties!

Alrighty, folks. Here's a cute update for you. Yesterday morning after dropping Kyle off at work, I traveled home in the pouring rain. After I pulled in the driveway I planned my next move. Open the door. Run as fast as you can. Try not to fall. Run up the stairs to safety. It was pitch black outside still, I couldn't see a thing. I tried running up the stairs to safety and realized that apparently I wasn't the only one with that plan. There was a cat on the porch, and I shewed her away but upon the cat stepping away from it's current position, I see two tiny little baby kitties. I thought to myself: "I KNEW IT!" You see, about a month ago while I was home alone, I briefly heared tiny little meows. I quickly looked around and didn't see anything. After I picked Ky up from work, I told him what I heared and told him that one of the strays around the neighborhood probably went underneath the house to have her babies. He crawled under there the best he could but he didn't see anything. I never heared the meowing again. I attempted to pick one of the kittens up but when I did so, they were scared and frantically skittered away. I got a rubbermaid bin and I snatched one up and put it inside. Upon looking for the other one, I moved something we had sitting on the porch and... holy cow! Three more kittens! Of course they skittered away as fast as they could. They ran toward the edge of the porch.... when I tried to pick one up..... LEAP! Right off the freakin' porch! All Three of them! So, at this point I'm sure any neighbors who were up at that ungodly time of day (5:30am) thought I was a lunatic. I was fishing for kitties in our bushes in the pouring rain and pitch black dark. I tried getting a flashlight,... only.... the only one we have is broken. Awesome. So I pulled my car into the front lawn and shone my headlights where the kitties had fallen. The black kitten was the last to be found. Haha. I put them all in the bin and took them inside. The momma cat didn't care. I know you're not suppose to bathe kittens, but they needed it. They were covered in fleas and absolute filth. Kyle and I introduced them to wet dog food, which they frantically chowed down on. The kittens are ridiculously adorable. The runt(gray with orange smudge on his head) and the moo cow(black and white... looks like a cow.) are our favorites. Okay, enjoy the pictures!
